Facebook has just rolled out a new feature for Messenger, which many are saying is similar to Snapchat and Instagram Story. Called ‘MyDay’, it allows users to take photos, add captions and send them to friends via Messenger.

MyDay, which was initially called Messenger Day, allows users to exchange long form content over the Facebook messaging app. It incorporates categories such as how one feels and what one sees, which can be conveyed through various emoticons, stickers, captions and pictures.
It can deliver instant, detailed accounts of events that happen in the user’s day and the additional visual tools make the stories feel more interactive and engaging than regular Facebook posts.
It Can Be Used in Real-Time
A Messenger user’s MyDay feed can only be viewed for 24 hours, so it only shows a day’s worth of activities. Imagine brands taking advantage of this and updating their followers about ongoing events.
