Let me guess…
You believe you’ve a great product. You’ve spent a lot of time, money and effort into creating and developing this product. Now you’re ready to launch your product, but you’ve got this feeling that your product will face a lot of competition and may not be seen in this crowded marketplace.
Or worse, you’re not even sure who your ideal client is.
But don’t worry, we’ve all been there.
Keep reading and I’ll show you the whole process of finding your ideal client or customer and the exact method of how you can stand out in a crowded marketplace.
So let’s get down to it.
First Know Your Target Market
This is the definition of a target market according to Wikipedia:
A target market is a group of customers a business has decided to aim its marketing efforts and ultimately its merchandise towards.
Defining and studying your target market is the first element of any successful marketing strategy.
The more knowledge you have about your target market, the easier it will be for you to launch successful products, and generate more leads and sales, and grow your online business.
But sadly, most entrepreneurs and internet marketers tend to focus too much on their products and services, Instead of spending more time analyzing if their products or services better suit the needs and desires of their target market.
Every business thinks their products and services are the best in the industry (or even the world lol). But does their target market thinks so? I highly doubt it.
Are you also guilty of this? I hope not.
But if you are, then you need to ask yourself this question:
‘’What problem is my product solving, Is it going to help my target market achieve their desired goal?’’
If the answer is yes, then congratulate yourself because your product is more likely to succeed.
Next, you have to…
Know Your Product (or Service)
Product knowledge is necessary to build trust with your customers.
The key to successful marketing is targeting the right customers with the right products.
By now, you may understand your target market, you know what they want, you know your product, and you believe your product is going to help them solve their problem and achieve their goal.
But there’s one problem…
Why do they have to buy your product and not your competitor’s product?
Even if you know your target market and you believe your product is of high quality and you believe it can satisfy your customer’s needs. Your competitor’s product probably does the same, if not better.
So how can you convince them to choose your product over your competitor’s product?
It’s easier said than done, but you’ve to show them that your product can do more and can achieve better results than the competition.
And the best way to demonstrate that is by using customer reviews and testimonials. (But that’s a topic for another day.)
Find Your Ideal Client
Finding your Ideal client is easier once you understand your target market and your product.
All you have to do is to get their ATTENTION.
But people are different, not everyone is the same. We all have different psychological needs and desires that we want to fulfill.
You have to understand what does your ideal client wants, what are his needs, desires, and goals? What keeps him awake at night?
This may seem hard, but it’s not. Simply ask yourself this question:
‘’Who would benefit most from my product (or service)?’’
Once you find the answer to that question, finding your ideal client will be much easier.
I’ll give you an example…
Let’s say your product is a ‘’landing page software.’’
In this case, the above question will look like this: ‘’Who uses landing pages in the internet marketing world more than anybody else?’’
After some research, you may find out that affiliate/CPA marketers are the ones who use landing pages more than anybody else. So now it’s easier to see who your ideal client/customer is.
Now all you have to do is to attract their attention, create interest in your product, and convince them that by purchasing your product they’ll be able to solve their problem, and fulfill their needs.
Conclusion
Finding your ideal client in a crowded marketplace may seem very intimidating first, but once you understand your target market, your product and your ideal client – standing out in a crowded marketplace will not be very difficult.
I hope that by now you have a clear understanding of what you should do to find your ideal client in a crowded marketplace.
